Phil Entzminger’s Passion for Golf and Other Interests

Phil Entzminger is well-known for his strong passion for the game of golf. While he humbly acknowledges that his golf skills may not be top-tier, he finds immense joy in the sport, even on days when his ball seems irresistibly drawn to the hazards. Entzminger’s golfing experiences have taken him across various locations, reflecting his well-traveled life. In Austria, his home country, he frequented the Seltenheim Golf Course and the Kiagenfurt-Seltenheim course. However, it’s in his adopted home, the United States, where he has explored a plethora of golf courses.

One particular course holds a special place in Phil Entzminger’s heart—the Cypress Point Golf Club in Pebble Beach, Southern California. He fondly refers to it as his all-time favorite. The allure of this course, for him, lies not only in its challenging layout but also in the consistently beautiful weather that accompanies his visits. Phil attributes much of his affection for the course to the spectacular climate that has graced his rounds.

Beyond his golfing escapades, Phil Entzminger has a deep appreciation for music, with a particular penchant for jazz. He makes regular pilgrimages to the vibrant city of New Orleans to immerse himself in what he deems as “real” jazz. Among his favorite jazz artists are Harry Connick Jr., along with several contemporary jazz musicians like Greg Osby, Charles Gayle, and Jacob Collier. However, he openly admits his aversion to most jazz-rock fusion, although he acknowledges enjoying select pieces. For Phil, listening to jazz is an immensely relaxing experience, akin to the moments when he can be found leisurely sipping a cup of hot coffee while tuning in to Connick’s melodies.

In various facets of his life, Phil Entzminger underwent a significant transformation in 2017 when he embraced a vegan lifestyle. His decision to become vegan was driven by a desire to adopt a healthier diet while also demonstrating respect for animal life. He has cultivated an almost obsessive commitment to consuming foods that entirely avoid the use of animal products, though he confesses that his fondness for cheese occasionally leads him to deviate from this strict regimen.
